GOM Player is a very complete multimedia player, almost on par with VLC. It works only on Windows, and the most advanced features only on Windows XP.
The installer (3.9MB) comes with included codecs, with which it is not necessary to download anything separately, but if we want to reproduce some file and we do not have the necessary codec, the same program is in charge of directing us to where we can download it.
The formats it supports are: GOM, AVI, DivX, ASF, ASX, WM, WMP, WMV, WVX, MPEG, MPG, DAT, VOB, MP4, 3GP, RM, OGM, MKV, IFO, DMB, OGG, AC3, XviD and H.263. It also has a patented function, which allows you to play AVI files that are corrupt, which happens very often. But what I liked the most is that it perfectly reproduces FLV formats, so it would be a good YouTube partner.
It can be configured very easily, as soon as we install it, it provides us with a wizard to make everything easier, but if we want to dig deeper we can do it. The player in operation occupies about 25MB of RAM, I clarify that I installed it with all the guys (this can be configured).
It has support for subtitle files like SMI, SRT, RT, SUB and IDX. It can be customized through skins, which can be downloaded from the same site. It also has a forum, in which we can leave our doubts.
Let's see who recognizes that screenshot?
