Complementing the app that we saw yesterday to stremear sports from our Android phones (through Mobdro) I received several queries about possible alternatives or options to Popcorn Time on Android, since the app leaves a lot to be desired in terms of speed of loading and functionality. One that I really liked is Terrarium TV, which gives us access to thousands of free movies on Android
Unlike Popcorn Time, however, Terrarium TV does not use torrents to load movies, but instead uses links saved in Google Drive and other additional sources. This means that the loading speed will be significantly faster to watch free movies on Andriod
To download it, they simply have to enable unknown sources on Android and download the app from http://terrariumtv.com (go from your phones to the Link, and look for the download link)
In the video you will find the full description of how to activate unknown sources, and download the App!
Most free movies on android that you will find on Terrarium TV are in Full HD, although we also have several in HD (720p) for a smaller size. We can even download them to watch them offline and something that I loved, was its integration with OpenSubtitles to download subtitles before viewing any movie or series.
In addition to free movies for Android, we have a wide variety of TV series, including past seasons. This is a matter of luck, since most older series have fewer fonts available.
The app also works with Chromecast directly, and in my tests, it worked quite well. It was enough to simply select the "Cast" option that appears in the upper right corner and automatically I could send the desired content to the TV. Even subtitles work!
So you know! If you are looking for an alternative to Popcorn Time to watch free movies on android, take a look at Terrarium TV.
