We continue with the unboxings postponed due to the trip! In this opportunity, we have the Alcatel A3 XL, a smartphone with a huge 6-inch screen!
The idea behind the team?Give us a smartphone with a large screen, at an extremely reasonable price (currently it sells for S / .549, or approximately $ 167 in prepaid).
The team, therefore, makes multiple sacrifices (especially in the camera section), but still maintains a fairly acceptable performance. And the screen, despite being nothing more than "HD" (no Full HD in this price range), does not look bad at all.
The phone comes with Android Nougat (7.0) so we have a fairly recent version on the team. Additionally, we have a Quad Core 1.1 Ghz processor that is not the fastest, but will not have major problems running common applications.
With 2 GBs of RAM we can also jump between 3 – 4 applications without much inconvenience. And 16 GBs of Storage, expandable via MicroSD, should be enough for the vast majority.
|CPU||Mediatek MT8735B Quad Core|
|screen||6.0 HD (1280 x 720)|
|Camera||13 MP Rear / 8 MP Front|
|Dimensions||165 x 82.5 x 7.9 mm|
I'm amazed at how many things Alcatel has managed to fit into a computer for such a low price. They have managed to include a fingerprint sensor in a phone at such a low cost!For those who like big screen phones but don't want to invest too much, the A3 XL is shaping up to be an interesting alternative.
My testing with the team just started today, so look forward to the review soon! The point that worries me and that I can go ahead: the battery of only 3,000 mAh. For such a large screen, 3,000 mAh is very little. But who knows, maybe with that low-power processor, in addition to a resolution of only 1280 x 720, it may be possible to balance the use of battery. It is something that we will discover with the review.
